Online MLM business has a 95%-98% failure rate and the sad part is the failure rate is high even for those who work at home. The initial cost to start a work at home business is peanuts. Albert Einstein once said that the definition of insanity is: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. I like to look at it as banging your head against a wall and expecting to make money for it. Doesn’t usually work too well. There is apparently quite the debate amongst bloggers as to whether this was originally said by Benjamin Franklin, or Einstein, or someone else. Either way, its true. Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is just not very smart any way you slice it or dice it.

The same thing applies to any network marketing business. The business opportunity that breaks the mold and does something new succeed. Those that continue with the same stale plan eventually are shown the door. Horse and buggy makers used to believe that the whole automobile craze was just a blip on the radar. In a more current example, huge, established airline companies are struggling while new, smaller companies are succeeding by focusing on low fares and customer service..

I know that is true, because when I first started in MLM, I pitched my new life changing product to everyone I knew and everyone I ever met, I contacted old high school friends who I had not seen or talked to in years and told them I wanted to “re-connect” over lunch, I went to the local mall and practiced “The 3 Foot Rule” (Attacked every person that came within 3 feet of me and pitched them on my business). It wasn’t quite as successful as I had hoped, to put it lightly.

The original businesses of network marketing began almost 100 years ago, with vitamin sales in the US. Since then, its has grown into an enormous and comprehensive industry with companies on all continents. (Yes, all continents. Somewhere, some scientist in Antarctica is pitching Noni or something like that to one of his coworkers. You know it) Obviously, the industry hasn’t always remained the same, and success has favored the new and innovative. You shouldn’t remain the same either.

The MLM network marketing industry may have made you a millionaire. If so, stop reading and have a nice rest of your life. Hey James Byrd here again. I’ve been in the network marketing industry for 5 years, and I have seen a lot. I’ve tried different business systems and approaches, and been met with different levels of success. But most importantly, throughout network marketing career journey, I’ve had the chance to meet and be taught by some amazing people. People who know this industry. Good, honest people, who have worked hard to get to the top. People who have made money. A lot of money. hundreds of thousands. And millions.

I learned a great deal from these leaders, not just from the things that they taught me, but from my own observations of them. I noticed that all of them had similar characteristics that helped them achieve the kind of success that so many of us dream about.

1. They used their own products or services and could explain
why you should use them. (They were a product of the product.)

2. They had a reason for doing the business and a business plan.

3. They let the tools do the selling.

4. They were always learning more about the business.

How To Keep From Quitting A MLM Business Opportunity

Someone said “when an pursuit is great enough there will be times you feel like quitting”
If you are not acquainted with a marathon, let me tell you what it is. A marathon is a race that covers 26.2 miles. One of the most famous marathons is the Boston marathon race held in the month of April in Boston. Ma. Runners from all over the world gather run this race. However in this race is a hill named “Heart Break” hill. This infamous hill have victimize many of runner who had their hopes and dreams dash to pieces on this hill. It’s a place where you stay the course or quit. It tests your desire, your training and your reasoning why you want to be so bold to run this particular race.

Now let me equate this marathon to your network marketing , MLM , and affiliate businesses. In order for you to reach your goal, it takes a burning desire,discipline training and a huge why that will support you in conquering “heart break” hill in any online home business.

The desire you need in network marketing is not just hope to reach your dream but it is a do or die attitude to reach your goal. It is an urgency to do what ever it takes legally, morally and fairly to obtain goal. It is a burning desire that gleams brightly to light your path when you can not see your way. It’s flames illuminates your dream to keep it visible in your minds eye. Desire can flip a quitting point to a spring board to success. Did I say training is needed in network marketing, MLM and affiliate business? Training is a necessary discipline for reaching your dream. I know some people will tell you all you have to do is “honest wishing”, but just as you can’t complete a 26 mile road race without proper coaching, the same goes for network marketing. They enter into network marketing with “sprinters mind set when in fact they have entered a test of endurance. Lack of preparation and using a “proven system”( one that is earning money now) leads to failure. You must also have a duplicable proven training system that is a good fit for your personality. The proven system must be compatible with who your are as a person and also where you are in your personal evolution. Without proper training for a MLM or networking marketing business, when you arrive at your quitting point,(your heart break hill) you will quit.

Since your “heart break” hill for your MLM is usually located in “the valley of fatigue” and is the point where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. It’s a place where all that you have done thus far seems useless. You see it is always darkest before the dawn when you don’t see your way that your why will find a way. That definite purpose of your why will excite you no matter how you feel. A small voice inside will whisper. Just do it. With desire, proper training and a great why, “heartbreak hill” becomes a stepping stone to your success..
