If you are not acquainted with a marathon, let me tell you what it is. A marathon is a race that covers 26.2 miles. One of the most famous marathons is the Boston marathon race held in the month of April in Boston. Ma. Runners from all over the world gather run this race. However in this race is a hill named “Heart Break” hill. This infamous hill have victimize many of runner who had their hopes and dreams dash to pieces on this hill. It’s a place where you stay the course or quit. It tests your desire, your training and your reasoning why you want to be so bold to run this particular race.

Now let me equate this marathon to your network marketing , MLM , and affiliate businesses. In order for you to reach your goal, it takes a burning desire,discipline training and a huge why that will support you in conquering “heart break” hill in any online home business.

The desire you need in network marketing is not just hope to reach your dream but it is a do or die attitude to reach your goal. It is an urgency to do what ever it takes legally, morally and fairly to obtain goal. It is a burning desire that gleams brightly to light your path when you can not see your way. It’s flames illuminates your dream to keep it visible in your minds eye. Desire can flip a quitting point to a spring board to success. Desire provides the fuel for training yourself in the network marketing business.

Did I say training is needed in network marketing, MLM and affiliate business? Training is a necessary discipline for reaching your dream. I know some people will tell you all you have to do is “honest wishing”, but just as you can’t complete a 26 mile road race without proper coaching, the same goes for network marketing. Many new MLM business owners and World Wide Web business owners fail prepare themselves properly for a MLM business opportunity. They enter into network marketing with “sprinters mind set when in fact they have entered a test of endurance. Lack of preparation and using a “proven system”( one that is earning money now) leads to failure. Just as there are many marathon training systems that are duplicable, the same can be said for network marketing. You must also have a duplicable proven training system that is a good fit for your personality. The proven system must be compatible with who your are as a person and also where you are in your personal evolution. Without proper training for a MLM or networking marketing business, when you arrive at your quitting point,(your heart break hill) you will quit.

Since your “heart break” hill for your MLM is usually located in “the valley of fatigue” and is the point where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. It’s a place where all that you have done thus far seems useless. You see it is always darkest before the dawn when you don’t see your way that your why will find a way. That definite purpose of your why will excite you no matter how you feel. A small voice inside will whisper. Just do it. With desire, proper training and a great why, “heartbreak hill” becomes a stepping stone to your success..

At that point you have the choice to either stick with the business and give it your best or in the alternative find a different business opportunity, perhaps one that does not require distributing or network marketing.

As you are evaluating a potential MLM money pit that is tying you down, and if you come to the conclusion that it is best to let go of the business altogether, find a way to exit that will not leave you in a financial mess . In other words, if you have boxes upon boxes of the product stacked in your garage, find out if you can return the product to the company prior to resigning. If this is not an option, contact your down line and offer the items to them for a good deal. Finally, eBay is always a good place to sell your overstock to someone else who might want to take on the business.
