MLM success requires that you focus on the right ones.However many network markers often go in with a wrong focus when they decide work a MLM business. I guess the one you hear most often is, “I can’t sell any product unless I love it!” Actually, the truth is, you can’t sell a product unless there is a market who want it. For anyone who understands marketing, that is always their number 1 consideration. To have a lifetime of success in MLM, you need to provide one or more products that people really want, and which are consumable, so they get ordered over and over and over. It’s surprising how many businesses which call themselves network marketing, actually sell products which offer no month after month after month recurring income. What they really have is a one-time sale. The biggest reason to go into network marketing is that as you build, your income is cumulative each month. That’s what they call residual income. Most people do not really understand the difference until they actually build residual income and then they take off for 2 months to go to the Galapagos Islands or something and when they come back, they have 2 checks waiting for them, and the 2nd check is bigger than the first. THEN they really get an idea of recurring income, and it’s pretty exciting and pretty life-changing.

Life is too short to have to work with people you do not want to work with. That’s one reason people choose to build an MLM business – they want to escape from a job working with people they just don’t respect or like. Unfortunately, some people get desperate when they’re building their network marketing group, and they sign up anybody they possibly can. Your best bet is to describe the people you really want at the start and stick to them. One good yardstick when you’re talking to somebody is to ask yourself, “Is this someone I’d want to go on a 30-day cruise with?” Part of the value of MLM is that you get to pick the people you will work closely with. Why on earth choose people you just don’t like?

Just focus on the ones who bring fun into your life, who share your dreams and goals. It’s exciting to make new friends you really like and then to be able to support them in achieving their lifetime goals. It’s a big chore to have to talk daily to someone who is unfocused and with whom you have nothing in common, and listen to them gripe about the network marketing business you love. You really need to have your standards set in your mind when you talk to people. Remember you are the one setting the bar.

A lot of people in MLM get blown away by the few who make the really big money. You’ll find a very few top dogs who get 6 figure or even 7 figure incomes a month. MLM success has been shown to be very elusive as demonstrated by the 95%-98% failure rate of MLM distributors Research shows that in 80%-90% of cases, success in business comes as the result of talking with a friend or family member. That surprises me, but it doesn’t blow my mind. People often follow the suggestions of someone know and trust. If it’s not a person they trust, chances of them following their recommendation is slim and none. In order to find success MLM, you really need a network people you know to talk to. If you don’t have a network to start,you’ll have create your network in order to have any chance of success in the network marketing business.

It’s just like when the NBA(National Basketball Association) holds a draft for teams to draft players to fill a need on their basketball teams. Wella player thats in the draft is a basketball prospect because they are proficient a basketball. But, before they draft the player, the organization not only looks at the basketball skills but they develop a relationship to see if the prospect “fits” the system of the team. A prospect for a MLM business in the same vain must be proficient in business and you must develop a relationship with your prospect that cultivates trust. You cultivate trust by offering the prospect something that brings value into their life. You then are able build your network with MLM prospects who value your friendship and will follow your system. Without a network. Network marketing success is extremley difficult.

It’s important to really target the people who will build your network marketing business. Obviously there are lots of options. Experienced mail-order dealers have spent years learning how to target the top prospects to mail.This extremley expensive process when you make a mistake of mailing to a un-targeted list. Mailers who are successful claim that what earns a profit isn’t the mailing piece they send out – it is the names on the list they mail to. You probably like me don’t see how this would matter. The number one criteria in predicting whether a person will buy is, has this person ever purchased the same item before? I know that seems very strange, but it is the truth.The top Mailers don”t waste time mailing to people who never has purchased a specific item.They mail exclusively to people who have already bought the exact same thing, or something very similar. Why does that work? Because you are dealing with someone who is interested in exactly what you are selling. Just like the NBA draft the very best prospects are NOT the general public. your best MLM prospects are those who have been in the network marketing business before and are still looking for the MLM opportunity that will give them the success they want and deserve.

In MLM opportunities, network marketers struggle because the marketing methods they are using have never been taught to them correctly or the methods they are using will not work and don t work 95% of the time.Most network marketers are looking for a professional income very quickly, with little effort and most struggle. Let’s talk about what marketing really is.You know a funny thing happens without marketing. and that’s NOTHING!!
Marketing is your ability to offer valuable solutions to large numbers of people all at the same time and You Inc. must be the most valuable. A MLM is a relationship business and a number’s game like direct selling. Most marketers really have poor people skills and fail to consider that you are really never in business only for yourself. Yes, you are for yourself but first you must be a solution for others. Marketing on-line requires you to market your self so others want to join you not your “deal”.

Training

Further, having uniform training and exceptional support are the basics and must be present. As in any profession, you must have the education or training. However, all the training materials that are being sold today essentially points us in that direction along with mailing prospecting packages, card decks and buying leads. How much training do we really need to run a system already made, tested and proven? Most MLMers won’t spend ten bucks for a training manual or even ten minutes reading it. Regardless of how much money you want to make as a network marketer, $1,000-$5,000, $10,000 or $25,000 a month the success you achieve in network marketing is directly determined by the training you and your down line receive. If you and your down line receive competent, effective and repetitive training and you apply what you learn from that training then it s virtually a guarantee that you will succeed in network marketing. But, if you and your down line have the misfortune to receive substandard, incompetent and ineffective training ( as do most network marketers) then it s virtually a guarantee that you and your down line will fail in this business regardless of how incredible your company is, or how hard and long your work, etc-training. Sadly, over 98% of all network marketers struggle and fail because they received incompetent and ineffective training and your previous failures are fault of the training you were given.

Personal Development

A MLM opportunity is simple, but doing cold calls, learning SEO, understanding google adwords, how to write good content is just not the skill set the average networker possesses.The fledgling network marketer’s perception of their business goes from one of opportunity to one of complete doubt and negativity. Reality follows perception, so because the fledgling network marketer believes both themselves and their business as having little hope this becomes TRUE. Additionally, hearing NO all the time leads to quite a bit of self doubt, both about the network marketers own ability and the validity of their association with their network marketing company. What does a perfect network marketing system look like. Unless you’re natural born confident sales leader going into your network marketing career you’ll probably have these same issues. Personal development requires that you have mentors as well as information. Many programs have “proven systems” that lack the human touch to get through the early disappointments and failures. Although some “proven systems” have forums that provide some personal growth, they cannot take the place a mentor .

In conclusion, you must not only find the so called “proven system”, but you must find a like-minded team of marketers where you can learn to market, participate in duplicable training and enhance you personal development. A MLM business opportunity requires that “to make money you must spend money” but someone also said the a fool and his money will soon part. Now I am not calling anyone a fool but it seems to me that in the mlm home business industry everybody plays the “fool” sometime. Making money online requires more then finding the right product for your mlm business opportunity but there is the necessity of bringing at least 3 things to the table to make money in your mlm business opportunity.

1. Mindset: Many people go into the Internet business with the wrong mindset. There mindset is negative and they have a “get over” attitude. We are bombarded by negative thoughts and words from the cradle to the grave! Someone said that we hear the word “no” 40,000 times by the time we get 18 years old. Advertising headlines that are negative get more play then positive headlines. Couple the negative attitude with a “get over” something for nothing motive and you have the wrong mindset to make money online. You can’t get something for nothing. The law of the universe will not allow it. There must be a cause for every result of action. How many people would go fishing thinking they are not going to catch any fish? The Internet is a huge ocean but if you think you can’t make money in your mlm business opportunity you wont!

2.Skill-set

o you have the right skills to market you mlm business opportunity? Can your skills be duplicated by your network marketing team? Most new home business owners have never led a team and some have never been on a team. You have to be able to market your network marketing business opportunity beyond families, friends and enemies! What do you do with 200 DVDs? What will you do with all those old business cards when your warm market dries up? You must learn how to market your home business online as well as off-line and each one of them requires marketing skill-sets that may be duplicated by your whole team.

3.Know you: Yes, I know that you are thinking, I do know me even if you don’t. I found out that personality types do matter. If not, why are divorce rates always so high! Your mlm business opportunity drives behavior in the field. What I mean is that it requires a certain type of individual to be successful in promoting and growing your mlm business opportunity! Are you outgoing? Home body? In your face? Match your personality with the mlm business opportunity and you have a marriage that works! If you are struggling marketing your mlm business opportunity and you are burned out telling, selling, cold calling and chasing your friends and family, attraction marketing will give your sanity back.

When you expand your circle or build your network, you begin to obtain leverage. That is, if i have 8 people on my team working 2 hours a day, it gives me 16 hours as a team versus one person working 16 hours. That is leverage. Network marketing is all about people and not just numbers.

The reality is that internet network marketing is the only industry in which the guy on the bottom can make more than the guy on top if he works harder to do so. Zig Ziglar’s book,“Network Marketing For Dummies” reports that network marketing is a $100 billion dollar industry with over 35 million networkers worldwide. In spite of being a very lucrative industry, the failure rate of network marketing business owners still hovers at 97%.

Working harder is not the only talent one needs to be a successful networker. Every networker needs a mentor or mentors to be successful. That is a weakness for most newbies because they are use to being told what to do by some supervisor and see no need to have any other relationships outside family and friends. Internet network marketing requires a skill set that allows you to establish network business relationships in order to truly be successful.

Why even attempt network marketing? The advantage of network marketing is that there is personal help, a proven system already in place, and vast resources. Nevertheless is important to point out that getting rich shouldn’t be the gage by which network marketing is measured.Your personal growth as a giving, helping person will far exceed the monetary riches one can expect and will receive. Why?

 

When I help others get what they want, i get what i want. Someone asked a question about why the “Dead sea” was called by that name. The answer came back that the “Dead sea” only received water from other rivers but never discharge any of the water that flowed into it. The definition of “dead” is some that always receives and never gives. Maybe, just maybe that “dead downline” in many network marketing business is because it never gives, just receives?
