It seems as though everyone you talk to in network marketing has the best MLM opportunity but if that is true, why does 95%-98% of the people who start a business fail? Every time i talked to someone they always want to tell me about how good of deal they are in. I was in what i thought was a great mlm but it was leading me nowhere. Here are 3 reasons why that might happen.

1. Your upline may be sincere but could be using “OLD SCHOOL MLM tactics.

I had a great upline and he was a very sincere and caring person. We are still friends to this day. My upline told me to make a list of 100 names of people that i knew at sometime in my life and give them a call and tell them i was in the best mlm business opportunity they could imagine and would they come and join. The only thing i ended up with using this approach was less friends. When my friends said no to the business then i was taught to back-end sell them the product and get some sympathy sales. I had been taught to be a product expert and i love the product i was promoting. In fact i had many customers but not enough to keep from going deeper in credit card debt month after month. Yes, i had sales but was never in profit. Some people resorted to selling product on Ebay just to try and break even which was not legal with this company. I was in business with a great product going no where because i didn’t know how to market .

2. Your MLM company may not own the software.

You may be in the best  mlm business opportunity possible but if the company dosn’t own the software, it may be leading you nowhere. One thing about MLM company software is that due to the high start-up costs and the uncertainty of success no matter how good the product might be, company owners cut costs by renting the software. When you rent software, you don’t have the means to alter it. This may lock your MLM company down. Have you notice that many companies have home pages for the affiliates that just show a page full of products and nothing else and the home pages are not customizable for your use. If the company wants the software modified for what ever reason, they usually have to change the compensation plan which means the average networker will take a hit. Many networkers have lost $1000s of dollars because of this sad fact.

3. Your MLM company may only have one product and don’t own the manufacturing rights to the product.
Many MLM companies don’t manufacture the product that they are promoting but are just wholesale distributors of a product under a particular name brand. I worked for a large company that made corn flakes. We not only made our name brand but also other lesser name brands that we shipped to them to sale and distribute under their name brand. The same thing can happen in the network marketing. Your company may be the best mlm business opportunity on the planet, but it may not be the sole manufacture of your favorite product. If the price your company pays for a product increases in a way it can no longer purchase the product in bulk and make a profit, then you lose. Your company no longer has a product to distribute. Is your mlm company a distributor or the manufacture and distributor of your favorite potion?

Conclusion: In order for you to make sure that you don’t end up with nothing but debt and lost time, prepare yourself to be a network marketer that is able to market any product and run any mlm business successfully. The greatest asset you have in order to make money online and not lose it is you. Work at becoming the best network marketer that you can possibly be and take control of your financial future.
