Hello, I hope your week has gone as well as expected. If you have an mlm business opportunity, you may have to look at an more efficient way to maintain your business during this world wide recession. There are 3 steps that can start you on your way to making your network marketing business recession proof.

1. Reduce the cost of marketing your MLM Business opportunity.
Many times early in my network marketing career i would try and use the mlm company’s marketing system. The company would supply the leads and load them in an autoresponder
and send followup emails out for me. The cost to do this varies in many companies. In this particular company, it cost me $49.95 per that included the “exceptional leads”. Try and find a marketing system in which the marketing system costs next to nothing. You may have to use more “sweat equity” to be successful.

2. Stop buying worthless leads for your MLM Business Opportunity. Any lead that you buy has been sold 2 or 3 times. Plus they may not be for your niche. If you were selling dog food, you certainly would not buy leads who were people looking for computers. How many cans of dog food could you sell to someone looking for computers? Nada! Generate your own leads for your niche and they will be exclusive, targeted and at no cost!

3. Find a marketing system that will pay you for generating leads.
This step is crucial in order to recession proof your mlm business opportunity. Many times you can get caught up in the hype about all the money you can make and forget that in any network marketing business opportunity, you have to get traffic to the capture page to generate leads. I have seen some marketing systems asking $300 per month. Your marketing system must generate leads and give you the opportunity to get paid for and cover the monthly costs of your mlm product requirements. The price point of many mlm products for minimum monthly orders too expensive for you to break even much less make a profit. Take a close look at your product price point. ble It is frightening when we hear of large financial institutions failing like AIG, Lehman Bros. and others that send the stock market tumbling along with our 401ks. For many our 401k is the only plan we have for retirement on a residual income. But could an MLM business opportunity be a good plan B?

The answer to that question is yes, if you select the “right one baby”. Any business venture has a high rate of failure but to do nothing is not an option. You must become pro-active about your financial future and develop a plan b. Your plan b can not just be watch and wait on the stock market for things to get better. An MLM business opportunity can be a viable back up to a “shakey” stock market. Here are a few keys to finding a good plan B for your 401k.

1. For A good plan B, you must find an MLM business opportunity  that is for the masses and not just the few experienced top network marketers. A company for the masses has a product for the masses. The product would be one of high demand. One where people are standing in line to get their hands on. Baby boomers have health issues and health would be a good place to start. Health problems brought on by the stress of our economy. Health is said to be a billion dollar industry.

2. You must find a MLM business opportunity with the right product price point. What i mean by that is the product must be affordable for the masses and not just the top 2-5 %. Travel is hot now but how many folk can afford to travel when their 401ks are dwindling? So find a company with a product that is in high demand and affordable to the masses.

3. You must find a company that has a compensation plan for the masses that is ethical, legal and fair to the masses. The compensation plan must pay good to the new marketer as well as the expert. It must have equal opportunity for all. Your residual income must be secure and not subject to radical changes in the company’s policy and procedures.
