I ‘ve just came from a social network site and it is full of people trying to sell one another on their mlm business opportunity. It seems as though nothing ever changes. It’s not the fault of the new network marketers who after a 2-3 week fling is on to the next best mlm business opportunity. One has to imagine if mlms are really the real deal or are we all delusional?

I believe that it’s nothing wrong with most mlm business opportunities and they are real. But i think because the new network marketer does not understand these 3 things, mlms can seem like a delusion when it comes to making money in a network marketing business.

1. Most marketers don’t know who they really are. What i mean by that is that many think that the product or the company is what matters. If the truth be told the IBO or distributor is 100% commission direct sales which means no sales, no commissions. If the mlm company goes under, what will you sale? The mlm business opportunity seems delusional because most new companies never get to the starting line.

2. When people join a mlm business opportunity, they don’t have any marketing skills. After chasing their friends and family, making up a list of 100 people they know of they soon are burnt to a crisp and discourage. They just don’t know how to market their product or service.
They can’t make any money so the mlm business opportunity appears delusional.

3. People join a mlm business opportunity not really understanding who they are or having any marketing skills but they don’t have a list of people or contacts to form a team. Since most mlm opportunities have some type of matrix like a 5×6 or 4×6 or 2×12 as the center piece of the pay plan, they will never fill the matrix without a team. Without the others helping one another, the mlm business opportunity seems delusional.
